Many employers are now offering remote working for their employees as a way to keep their employees safe during this time. If you would also like to work remotely, look into the different tools that will enable you to work remotely and your job process. Then with the information, discuss with your employer how you can do the work remotely with the tools available to do your work. You’ll be surprised that there are many tools available now such as Zoom, that can be used to help you work remotely.

Follow Health Safety Guidelines

Your local health authority will provide you with guidelines to remain safe, whether it’s wearing a mask or distancing yourself from your clients and colleagues. Health guidelines are now available online and you can download it at any time.

Download yourself a copy to read, then implement and follow the guidelines given to you. Be sure to check on the guidelines regularly as they may change as more information become available to your local health authority.

Limit Social Contact

Do you normally chat with your colleagues by the cooler? Are you frequently meeting your client when you don’t need to? Limiting the social contacts you make during your day will help to minimize your risk of contracting COVID-19.

Limit your social contact by looking at your work process to see which are the necessary meetings and which are not. Where it’s not necessary or there are alternative ways to meet, avoid the meeting or meet in another way. Go ahead and talk to your clients and colleagues, you’ll be surprised that everyone wants to limit social contact like you and would be happy to forego a meeting or meet through an electronic medium.
